Inktober 2018 - Insect Inspired

For 2018’s Inktober, I decided to use watercolor and mix some prompts together and match them to some really interesting and neat Insects. My favorite was the Pandora Sphinx Moth which I actually had the pleasure of seeing that year on my front porch. It’s such an unusual and beautiful Insect and I just had to illustrate it. The prompt for that particular one was “Spell (binding)” which I thought was appropriate.

For the rest of the month, I illustrated Insects that I thought were just as interesting and cool looking like the Madagascan Moon Moth and Poisonous Puss Moth and I already have plans to continue this collection in the future, as well as adding in bugs from my own personal miniature macabre museum. Stay tuned!
